Even with the changing economic stability caused by emergence of two World Wars, the popularity of wearing crowns and tiaras may have diminished but have not totally disappeared.It was during the modern era when the popularity of tiaras gained a boost.Designers from countries in Europe have produced elaborate crowns and tiaras for Russian nobility that have surpassed even those in other countries.In France during the 19th century, there was a surge in the use of tiaras to signify abundant wealth. Some of most intricately designed crowns and tiaras were made by the English during this time. It has also been said that it was during this time that tiaras were first used as an accessory for weddings.At the beginning of the 20th century, the demand for tiaras has increased significantly.
